Introduction

Reflecting my lifelong interest in classic fairground rides, this Website is intended to help publicise events at which you will have the opportunity to see and ride these machines.

The Big Wheel at Bedfordshire Steam Rally 2003The Octopus, Skid, Cyclone Twist and Dive Bomber were once guaranteed regulars at most fairs. Now, it is the efforts of dedicated showmen that keep the few remaining examples on the road. Over the past few years, I have often been unaware of my favourite rides being open just a few miles away. I would hear about these events only after they had finished and the report appeared in the World's Fair. My hope is that this Website will allow those who put their time and effort into keeping these magnificent amusement devices on the road the opportunity to let us enthusiasts know exactly when and where we can enjoy the results!

This service is free-of-charge to anyone presenting their vintage rides at any event from a Christmas Light Switch-on to the major preservation rallies. Organisers of these events are also welcome to add their events to the list.

If you are at all interested in this Website, please contact me to either join in the scheme or give any comments or feedback on the idea.
